I received a call from this number about a month ago asking for my brother-in-law. I told them they had the wrong number but I said I didn't know him. This was before I looked these people up. They just called me AGAIN yesterday on my cell AND my DESK phone! I told this lady that this was a place of business and she had the wrong number. She apologized and that was it. It seems that they call every month but how and why they got MY number for my brother in law is beyond me.
This lady called my place of work from this number looking for the name of a person who does not work here. I told her several times that the person she was looking for was not in our directory but she kept insisting that he works here because "that's what her paper says". When I asked what it was regarding to maybe direct her to an appropriate department since the name she gave me did not exist in our directory, she said it was personal. I told her I can't help her if it's personal. She then insisted there has to be someone I can ask about this person that DID NOT EXIST!!! in our directory because her paperwork says he does. She read off an address I've never heard of and insisted that I knew the address because I happened to be the one who answered the phone. I kept telling her I can't help her since this is a "personal" issue and also because this person doesn't exist. She then had the nerves to tell me how I should do my job (because obviously, she didn't get what she wanted), and then hung up. I called the number on the caller ID...yes lady, we have caller ID...and found out this is just another debt collection company. No wonder she was so hard headed and wouldn't take no for an answer!
I have REPEATEDLY told them my number is on a DO NOT CALLS list and the brainless automaton on the end of the phone kepft [***] talking over me as i calmly explained the number was recycled TWO [***] YEARS AGO
Just as criminals rob banks because they don't care that it's illegal, so foreign & domestic criminals don't care you are on the DNC list. Don't bother changing your phone number as you already know the results which you have been dealing with for the last 2 years. Please consider a call blocker. One that will block area codes as well as individual number. About $40. & you get to keep your sanity.
This number came up on my parents caller id. My mother answered and they asked for my ex-husband by name. My.mother said she didn't know how to reach him and she was his ex-mother-in-law and that he was still living in the same place but probably changed his number. I still have no idea how they got my mom's cell phone number. Guess they can access anything these days.
