Keep getting calls from this number looking for someone who does not live here. They will not give me any information. all they keep saying is the person the are looking for is going to be served a court summons and when the officer arrives that if I show him a photo ID then he will remove my number and address from the record. They keep telling me this over and over yet no one ever come and they keep calling.

Shows up on Caller ID as a Texas phone number. Google reveals it to be a San Antonio-area exchange. As per the previous posts, the female caller informs you that a person (in this case, a matching surname with an incorrect first name) is to be served with legal documents by the sheriff's department. She asks if that person resides there or if you know of them. When informed that call is in error, you are then told that your number was left as a contact number. In my case, the number they contacted me at is my home number and unlisted. She informed that she would mark the number/location as incorrect. If that information did not get to the department, sheriffs might still show up. I would simply show then photo ID and answer any questions. All attempts I made on Google to trace this number (for free) were fruitless. A phone call to the number simply leads to an "unavailable to take your call" voice-mail.
Got a call from this number today, didn't answer. After reading your posts I realize I've gotten this call before but from a different number. They called about my ex-father in law basically trying to get info, probably some kind of collections company or something. They gave me the speech about the sheriff coming and the summons, etc and said that MY address was listed as a former residence for ex-f.i.l. (which is not true.)
Basically trying to call and frighten people into giving information using illegal practices. I have reported this company before.
Just made the above post - they left a message. It is exactly what I thought it was. Calling about ex-father in law again. Reporting this number as well.
