They also called me and stated I had a payday loan from 2011 from mesa financial. I asked for verification of the debt and she said that by law they could only email me the information. I said that she needed to send up to "corporate office" to get the ok to physically mail me verification of the debt. But that she could email me. I asked her to do so as she had told me what email address she had on file. She never asked me to verify anything she told me all my information. She sent me a cut and paste copy of a form letter. It didn't even have the name of the company on it, just "the financial division".
This is a debt collector. They tell you they will call you every day until the debt is paid. I have no knowledge of the debt they were talking about. They will not give you an address to write to, only a fax number. Seems like one of those scams I've heard about. They could be based is a foreign country, yet the calls look like they are coming from San Antonio Texas.

These people keep calling and I keep blocking only to have them call from a different number. THIS IS A SCAM. I have never taken out a payday loan. In fact payday loans have been illegal in my state longer than the statute of limitations on debt so even if I had taken out the loan they could no longer pursue collection. Also a debt collector by law needs to send via postal mail verification of the loan if you request it and provide a physical mailing address to their business. These people refuse to do either. SCAM!!!! Do not give these people any personal information or give them money!
called me looking for the a former wife of my brother in law. they have probably been divorced thirty years and i have never met her. i don't know how they came up with my phone number. i don't think my brother in law knows how to contact her. i stayed on the line through the elevator music and told the man i didn't know the person.
They called claiming I owe a debt for money's deposited into a bank account in 2011 at a Bank I actually did business with.
They won't answer questions and talk over you. When I challenged them that a legitimate company will answer questions they continued to talk over me. I told them any statute of limitations had expired they informed me that statute of limitations only apply if they are taking legal action against me. I told them to not call back as is the right of any person under debt collection and hung up.
They called right back and said this was regarding a telephone bill. Somehow my alleged debt when the from money being deposited into my bank account to now being a phone bill.
