legit in my case today. I got a call saying someone from West Virgina called Citicards about my card number. The lady asked if I want to close my account and issue new ones, I told her I needed to do an investigation, After hangup, I logged into citicard online. There is a message there asking me to call a number, I changed my username and password all together, Later, I called 800 number on the back of my card, They verified that call and also my most recent account activities. They decided to close my account and send me a new card tomorrow in fedex,
This is in fact from Citibank. They left a message asking me to call the number on the back of card. When I did call, I was able to confirm the charges they were concerned about. Also when I logged into my account I noticed they put a temporary hold on the card for suspected fraud. Doesn't get more legit than that folks.
This is in fact NOT from citibank, it is phishing. They tell some people they're citi, others that they're sears, others home depot, and me, Best Buy. They have a certain amount of info about you. and ask for your complete social security number when you first call. THIS IS A SCAM. AND ANYONE LIKE "DELL" WHO SAYS oh no, it's totally legit, IS ONE OF THEIR OPERATIVES.
