This is one of the MANY phone numbers that is used for Fraternal order of Police----they always tell me they will put my number on their do not call list but i still get calls-- i hope they did it this time.
Just called 557PM. Caller ID said Out of area. It was a recorded male voice, designed to sound like a live caller, asking for donations to the Texas Fraternal Order of Police. These are real scammers who just prey on generous, gullible people. NEVER give these crooks a penny! If you do, you will be deluged with more calls just like this one.
Just called, no message. I D only said San Atonio. Probably like the other posts say "Fraternal Order of Police"
But more than likely a company seeking phones that are answered so they can sell it! I would think if it was any Fraternal group they would provide more information on the caller ID. After all, don't the police advice you to not answer unknown callers?
