This number called my house and was trying to get me to put in "eventvwr" into the run search box. (This would have opened up internet files as well as anything on my computer. If the viruses were really on my computer I would of been able to access them from my file and program search engine.) He continued to say he was from Microsoft Tech Services and that my computer was sending them messages that I had several viruses downloading to my computer and that could contain malware and some other kind of malicious viruses. After asking him a few questions I pulled up a site that helped me ask more questions. This is the address for the Fake Tech Support Call. It was a big help… if you are not comfortable bringing this site up feel free to google it. That’s how I found it.
He did not verify the correct information “from my computer”, and all I asked was what the name on the account for the computer is.
It was weird when he said that he was from Microsoft because when I asked him for his Company's name and address he said the company name was PC Software Services, and he was in the same state as me, but he sounded like he was from a different country. It was also weird that he couldn't give me an actual address. When I *69 the number it came up as unavailable.
Please be very cautious of people. Had I of not known as much as I know about phone scammers I would probably of been a victim.
THIS IS A COMPLETE HOAX! When you type in what they ask you to type they are then able to access your computer. HANG UP when you get that call. HANG UP, HANG UP, HANG UP! 210-888-0645 is just a scam number. They are Indians calling and trying to:
1. get access to your computer
2. they will hit you up and try to get you to give them your credit card number so you are "protected" with their computer security.
My friend fell for the first part, but she did not give her cc #. This is a new hoax to obtain your private information...sigh. WHy don't these losers get a real job!!!??

Received call from this #. "Daniel Matthew" with a strong East Indian accent and claiming to be with Microsoft wanted me to go to my computer so he could work with me on a problem he says I'm having that is sending error reports to Microsoft by my computer.
He said he could prove he was with Microsoft by the computer id number I could access. When I told him to give me that number, since he must know it, he changed tactics. I just told him to give me his name and a return phone number so that once I verified who he was I could call him back. He didn't like that idea much but gave me the above name and number.
