just received a call. stating they were with some travel company wanting to put up me and my "loved one" in a location in south texas...????? when I asked how they got my number, they told me my # must be open to public, or that I had a family or friend that passed along my # in referral. the man was VERY hard to understand and when i told him to delete my information, you would have thought i told him to go jump off a bridge. he asked me why i would ever ask to be removed and if he would delete my number, "if that's what I really wished they would do." i can't stand these kinds of calls. especially during my work day. NO, i don't want your prizes, NO, i don't want your scam, NO, my phone # is not open to the public. STOP CALLING ME!
Solicitation call from some sort of Travel "Agency" ostensibly to help them celebrate the opening of their office. They say they are from your city but the call is from somewhere else. You get "free" air tickets to certain cities if you participate in a 90 minute presentation. They claim nothing to buy but why would they want you to participate in a 90 minute presentation. Because they get you hyped up and make a deal attractive and then you will regret it later. And similar presentations ALWAYS say that they are only going to give you a special deal "today" or "right now" if you buy. Beware.
Was very hard to understand the speaker. I think they said DirectBuy and it was about a Grand Opening in Coppell, Tx. Wanted me to come for an appointment for a guaranteed free prize *cough, cough*
Same as ri: Lady that was hard to understand. I kept thinking she was saying Cabella's, but was probably DirectBuy. She was really pushing the free prizes, but I wouldn't select one and she couldn't move on to her next step in the script.
