Woman by the name of Amanda Black called and asked for my co-worker by name, when I told her she was not in she acted frustrated.... like she has been trying to get a hold of her forever..asked if I could let my co-worker know that "this is a legal matter and she must call her back at 213-232-4399"---the connection was really bad, it was hard to hear her and she had what to me sounded like a Filipino accent.
This man with a very heavy accent has been calling me at work and threatening me and harrassing me and my co-workers. At first I listened as I have had a payday loan but not with this particular company. First time they called they called me by my legal name the second time they called they called me by my nickname. They have my work information and my SS#. The second time they called I spoke to a Brad who when I began to ask questions told me to shut up and pay attention I did not understand the seriousness of the situation.I immdeiately told my friend who is the assistant administrator where I work and we googled this phone # and found that it is a scam. I thank God I did not give them my debit card # they told me that I needed to pay them $5,000.00 or be arrested tomorrow. But when I reported back to them that I did not have that kind of money he said well pay us $1,095.00 and that would settle the account. They called my work place a total of 8 times within a 30 minute period. They have not called back since I told them I would contact my lawyer and they would contact local authorities as well as the homeland security and FTC
someone called and said that they had all of my information and that I filled out a loan online and that I received money from them and I owed them $1095.00. They said that the case was tomorrow and that they wanted my attorney's information so that they could send me paperwork in the mail. This case was supposedly reported back in 2007 for an online loan that I was supposedly to have received money into an old bank account. I called back and started grilling the guy with a very foreign heavy accent and he got frustrated and said that he would not call again and that someone will deliver papers to me tomorrow. We will see if this happens.
I received a phone call from the same person not only today but last week. From 941-961-8518. THIS IS A SCAM! If you research the 941 number you will see a multitude of people who have the talked to the same people in regards to the same Cash advance debt.
I spoke to them last week, and they had ALL of my info including my full SS#. They told me they would arrest me or my references which they named correctly if I did not pay this debt the following day. They even called my work after I hung up on them! I asked to show proof of said debt and they would (COULD) not! Don't let them scare you into anything. It is an outright SCAM!!
I TALKED TO MY PEOPLE AN THEY INFORMED ME THAT THIS COMPANY IS AN COLLECTION AGENCY USING UNFAIR COLLECTION ACTS, GO ONLINE TO YOUR STATE LAWS ON PAYDAY LOANS AND CONTACT FAIR DEPT COLLECTION AND FILE A COMPLAINT , EVERYTHING THEY HAVE DONE IS AGAINST YOUR STATE LAWS , THESE ARE COLELCTION AGENCYS OVER SEAS AND HAS NO JURIDICTION IN THE UNITED STATES
