Made the mistake of entering my information at a Clippers game now they won't stop calling. It's basically a resort (time share) they want you to visit and they'll give you a trip to Vegas etc., but you'll need to visit their time shares in order to get any of the prizes.
Caller says you've won a pair of vacation tickets. They knew my name, my spouse's name and city we live in. These callers try to squeeze out more information out of you so try not to confirm nor deny any of their information. If they're going to give you something for free, from a kiosk survey "where you entered your information" then they have all they need to send you your prize with no further action on your part.
Could you please tell me more about this matter? I had the same thing happened to me this monday. Sounds a little too good to be true. Still haven't gotten a confirmation email either or address for where to pick up the tickets?! Are they a legit organisation?
Thank you for posting this.
Hope to hear from you.
Joe may or may not get back to you, but I think it is safe to say based on the all the reports that is at least a data mining scam. If you filled out one of those cards in a store to win a free trip, that is how this gets started. Or they want to prime you for trying to sell you a worthless time share. Sometimes you will be told your tickets are waiting, and you only need to pay some small "fee" so that the tickets can be sent. I don't think I need to draw you a picture, but if I could draw, it would be your money swirling down a drain.
ps - You answered your own question if you think about it.... "Sounds a little too good to be true", that expression usually goes along with "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is".
