Got a call from 213-266-7320 saying I had won a free cruise all I needed to do was take a brief "green energy" survey. They asked 3 simple questions and then gave the phone to an operator who said I had won a free cruise to Bahamas on board the "Grand Celebration", that they are giving away free cruises rather than let the ship leave with empty cabins and that I could book any time in the next 18mo, obviously they must have alot of ships with alot of empy cabins! They wanted $59 to pay port charges and of course that will require my credit card number and I declined to give it. They transferred me to their floor manager, Jennifer from the "promotions department", she re-iterated that I needed to pay now else no free cruise! She gave me another number to call (844) 554-7263 but said this number was for the main desk at the cruise line and they would not offer me a free cruise. I did call the number, they acknowledged that there is a free cruise promotion going on and someone would call me back!
Yep, another moron telemarketer wasting lots of people's time. Maybe the courts should consider this a higher grade crime, since it affects so many people. It wasn't too bad back in the day when they had to dial people. But today, with their robodialer equipment, they are like electronic mosquitoes.
