They left message from Nikki Johnson. It was a recorded voice message

I also got the call 3-4 times. I have reported to IRS
You receive a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS but you suspect they are not an IRS employee ...
Record the employee's name, badge number, call back number and caller ID if available.
Call 1-800-366-4484 to determine if the caller is an IRS employee with a legitimate need to contact you.
If the person calling you is an IRS employee, call them back.
If not, report the incident to TIGTA and to us at [email protected] (Subject: 'IRS Phone Scam')

Got the same thing.  General rule:  the IRS will always contact you by mail; never by phone...especially prerecorded message.  I even tried to call them back to record the call and collect information to turn over to the authorities.  Rang and rang, but alas... no answer.  Again, the IRS will always contact you through verifiable channels such as the mail.

Got a call from this number saying that they were a Nicky with IRS--prerecorded message---said that I should return the call before they had to take action.  Number was from Los Angeles...anyone know anything about this.  I am 99.9 percent sure it is a scam...I didn't call back
