Credit card services, lower my interest rate, never said which credit card. Press 1 to speak with a rep. After 4 seconds I was disconnected, I didn't press 1. Oh yeah, I don't have any credit card balances.... I do file a complaint with the do not call list every time.
Only shows up as missed call from L.A. Usually, this has been indicative of someone with less than good intentions. If that proves.to be añ inaccurate assessment, I will return here... But, that is unlikely based on my experience.
They called without identifying themselves claiming to be from my credit card company. They said there was no immediate problem but I should contact them back right away by pressing 1. They have been calling regularly each time warning and promising this would be the last time. We work third shift hours. So to get them to quit calling I dialed 1. So a taped voice goes into a spiel about using their card for only 6% interest. Finally someone answers. At first I pretend not to hear. Then I tell them they are using bait and switch tactics which are illegal in my state I tell them they were trying to scare me into a service which could get them fined and thrown in jail... (Well... whose to say, really?) Then I hear click and dial tone.
