Just called our house -- said it was a very important message about our credit card account -- there is no problem but to take advantage of lower interest rate... Funny thing -- we don't have any credit cards. We closed the one we had 10 years ago because we never used it and they thought we should pay a fee.
This # displayed with "Card Services" on my caller ID. It was the pre-recorded message from "rachel from card services ...no problem with accounts... but it is my final notice to lower my interest rates". If only it was actually the 'final notice' .... I've received at least a dozen calls from as many different numbers, with the same recording, same voice, same everything. I've started reporting every one of them to the FTC/FCC. It's a scam, phishing, spoofing and illegal. Yes, my number is on the Do Not Call list and has bee for years.
Oh by the way, the last call I got was from 905-000-0000 (which is an area code for Ontario, CANADA, and it displayed "name not found".
