I Received a text telling me I won a Wal-Mart gift card if I text them back. Was told by my boss she had  a very similar number and same area code texted to her mother, her mother thinking she won something yexted as instructions told her to do needless to say she received a HUGE phone bill for for the text!  Thank Goodness the phone company forgave this charge however it was a long and irrating situation!
