It is an unfortunate fact that, NO, many are still not onto it and probably never will be because they don't bother to read all the other reports. I just got home from the hospital and found I had over 130 calls, very few of which were legitimate. Now they are attacking my cell phone, too. This one was the "trip to the Bahamas" scam. I do like your idea about going back to paying for long distance calls.
Here we go again. Call came in at 6:21pm. Didn't answer; no message left. What else is new? And what do these clowns gain by doing this? I know David Hannum (not P. T. Barnum) said "There's a sucker born every minute," but aren't people on to this phone business by now? I mean, who hasn't been inundated with useless, time-wasting, mindless junk phone calls? Maybe if the phone companies went back to charging for long distance...
