I noticed this charge on my bank account today. I purchased nothing from this company. The customer service rep on the line already knew who we were when we called without verifying any information with us and said I purchased something online. The rep stated the charge would take up to 3 business days to be refunded. Very creepy and alarming.....
June 1st posting on my acct. $6.93 from ETECH.COM,never ordered or spoke to anyone about ordering from this E-TECH.COM,called my bank to stop payment,immediately!!I am furious!!!They are going to make an affidavit to stop this transaction.Do NOT LET ANYONE TAKE YOUR CARD OUT OF YOUR SIGHT!!My husband is going to kill me for ordering on-line but it was not my card but his.NOTHING IS SAFE
most people do not bother to read the terms and conditions of the websites they place orders on.
When you do not read them - you get hit with "Authorized" charges to your credit/debit cards, because by placing your order you give them permisssion to do so, whether you read the terms and conditions or not. You AGREED to them regardless as part of using the website.
Special offers also have thier own T&C's separate from that of the online retailer - these are generally Negative option contracts for worthless membership programs with monthly fees.
