I received several calls from them trying to gain access to my pc. Fortunately I'm technically savy enough to know it was a complete scam! Do not give them any info!
From what I could understand, they said they were from Microsoft and that my computer was about ready to crash. I didn't let them get any farther, just told my husband that it was a scam loud enough for them to hear and hung up the phone.
They called saying that they receive an alert from microsoft that my computer is at risk and they want remote access to my computer when asked what my email address he said that they couln't give that information out and as i told him that if he from miicrosoft then call me right back and then hung upi the phone as of now 4 hours later no call SCAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! Same thing just happened to me so I searched the phone number. The caller ID said it was the 213 area code number listed above. When I asked for a number to call them back at the told me 315- 505- 4387 and that the name was John Williams.
