Calling me up and harassing me from a company JVC processing on my cell. threatening me with delivering summons to my workplace & home. Telling I owe money this company, that I never heard of it. Also, they were going garnish my wages too. They have several calls from different #s.
Call from Steven Michaels - O'Connell, Greenman & Associates. At first I was going to work things out but then he told me that the debt was from 2008. I asked, so you are trying to collect on a 6 year old debt? The statute of limitations if 4 years from the last payment received on the debt, so, I guess I will sit back and wait to be served. I can't find a site for this business, so I'm guessing that it is just as fraudulent as their attempt to extort money from people who don't know the collection laws.
And, they are nice as long as they think you are going to pay...then, they turn into straight [***].
I have been getting calls for the past 3 days from the phone # (916) 282-1316. They weren't leaving a message but called at 6:30am two days in a row. When I asked why they were calling at 6:30 in the morning, "Amanda" kind of stammered, and when asked again, she hung up. Received a call today, but this time a message was left with the threat of serving me at my place of employment. They gave a callback # of (213).995.6228 and ended with a nice "Good luck in court." They are not a legitimate company or else they would follow laws themselves.
I just got a call from a guy named Charles Montgomery 916-282-1316 and he stated that I have fraudulant charges filed against me and that I would be served and taken to court. I said ok FINE, let me call my attorney and see what he says about this and steer me in the right direction. I was given a docket number and given a 213-995-6228 number and Charles hung up in my face. Is there someone we can contact to report these creeps calling
