My card was charged on Aug 17th for $3.77 I called the number listed on my statement, and I got a busy signal. I goggled the transactions name and number and all this above listed info poped up so I called my bank asap and canceled my check card.
This site is great for people like us who are taken advantage of. The fraud department at Navy Federal Credit Union told me the crocks always start off with small amounts, then they go for larger amounts, they start off small so you won't notice the charge. I almost didn't until I seen FL. on my statement and I knew I hadn't been to FL. or purchased anything for $3.77
I also found a charge of $2.99 on my account from 8/20. I sent an email to them and they said they needed the last 4 digits of my card and my zip code. The only place I use my card that asks for my zip is RedBox. Have you folks been using RedBox movie rentals? Just wondering?
I received the same for a charge of $3.77. I am currently working with my bank to see who or what authorized this. I understand the $3.77 isn't a big deal but the fact that i have no idea what company this is, its quite scary to think someone has my account information. What is to stop them from taking a larger amount in the future? Definitely suggest to all who receive this that they get their bank to cancel their debit card and get a new on ASAP!
