These idiots have called here repeatedly and are getting ruder by the call. Their "magic jack" service allows them to call whoever they want and not accept return calls. They claim that we've ordered a bunch of magazines and that we need to pay up. We closed the one CC account that they could have used and they continue to fish for the new number--ain't gonna happen. We've told them over the past several months (every time they call) that we didn't order the magazines that they've been sending and they need to cancel them. They keep coming up with some additional song and dance that we've passed the cancellation date and we will be billed. My next phone call is to the BBB and/or the Attorney General for Florida. Any other suggestions??
I got a phone call from the and after a lot of arguing back and forth I told them I wouldn't pay for the magazines. They said they had my credit card number and I was going to be charge in the next 7 days. Does anybody know the name of this company so they can be reported?
Keep getting calls from this number along with 239-205-4711, 239-839-153, 239-205-4714. All are from Florida and appear to be cell #s. Why would any reputible business call from cell numbers? They never leave a message. .... Have a feeling it's a scam.
i been getting calls from this # 239-205-4711 they are telling me that i'm in a contract to purchase 20 months of magazines at $69.00 per month. I dont want any magazines i want them to stop calling.
Same as above. They somehow have my name, address and phone number.
They first called from a different number and told me I was receiving magazines for $69.00 per month and tried to get me to verify my credit card. When I started questioning them they hung up.
They then called from this number and acted like they were calling because customers complained that they were getting unsolicited calls and tried a different approach to the same thing. I stayed on the phone to attempt to feel them out. They claimed they had a VISA card, I asked for the last four, they wouldn't give it to me. They were apparently trying to fish for it.
I ended the call saying I wanted a paper statement they said they would send it to me. I will post what I get. I canceled the only card that could be potentially compromised and have not been charged yet.
WHen I called back I get an answering machine message for Magic Jack. I left a message playing dumb, asking for them to call me back. I am going to try and get them to give me a paper statement so I can get an address (which will likely be a PO Box) and give it to the federal government.
I had the exact same thing happen to me tonight. Saying magazine subscriptions and I told them to send me the contract so my lawyer could review it and the girl got pissy with me and I hung up on her! Beware of these idiots I feel sorry for the people they get to believe this scam!
