I just got a call from the same people today! I tried to get the guy to tell me what magazine he was talking about, and he said all magazines go through us. I asked what bill he was talking about, and he said something about how I obviously ordered some magazine because my name and information including my VISA came across his screen. He hung up on me once and called me back. I told him to cancel whatever subscriptions he claimed I had and send me a bill. He fought me about that and wanted me to take care of it right there on the phone. I told him I'm pregnant, don't need this stress, cancel any subscriptions, and send me a bill, that's it, and hung up on him. Called back after reading your post and got the same Magic Jack message. I think you are right about the credit card number because, funny thing, I don't use a VISA card to order magazines. If I have to use a card, it's my debit card, which is a Master Card! Do we just report this stuff to the BBB?
Keep getting calls from this number along with 239-205-4711, 239-839-153, 239-205-4714. All are from Florida and appear to be cell #s. Why would any reputible business call from cell numbers? They never leave a message. .... Have a feeling it's a scam.
I got a phone call from ths number stating that by not reading the fine print on a notice for a magazine that I automatically had to pay for the mags I was getting without my consent. That by not responding I automatically had to pay. She was rude and tried to badger me. When I mentioned that my husband was a laywer and that I did not wish to continue this deluge of trashy mags she hung up on me. I called the number back and advised that Magic Jack customers were not available. Have a feeling this is a way to get my credit card number?
