Got a call from this number on 2/2/16, it scared the heck out of me. Some how the connection got lost, I called the official IRS 800 number, they said nothing about me was out of the ordinary and to report this "phishing scam" to the department of the treasury, I did, and I would urge all of you do the same.
This is a complete SCAM! They will say that a person named Bruce Henson or Steven are on your case. They will lie to your about who they are, hesitate to give answers, and hang up on you. Background noise from a large call center. DO NOT GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFO! Report them to the IRS.
Received a call to my cell phone on behalf of IRS. The voicemail stated, "..To leave this message I want you or your attorney of record to return the call. The issue is extremely time sensitive and very urgent.We have received a legal notice against your name regarding tax fraud & tax evasion so before things get worse and before things get out of hand, I want you to call back immediately. I’ll leave you my number. The number where you can reach us is 239-206-2737. Again the number is 239-206-2737. Don’t disregard this message and do return the call. If I don’t hear from you or your attorney either, the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as this situation unfolds upon you.Once again, this is an automated message from the Internal Revenue Service. Do call us back immediately. The Person of case in charge will be bruce canton. Thank you and have a good day. Bye.
