This guy (Steve Martin) called my work cell phone and left a threatening message about letting him help me (never using my name) as he was from the US Treasury dept etc...exactly as you all have described. He has an accent, never uses my name and is persistent!
He called a few hours later. And when I anawered it was just a recording. I called him back tonight and it rings through to his extention somewhere and u can leave a message! Tempting! What a jerk!
Steve Martin called, he got upset because I couldn't understand him due to a heavy accent. Put his boss (supposedly) on the phone (with the same accent) threatening me for back taxes and there was a warrant for my arrest. Said he was sending a policeman to pick me up... I told him I worked for the IRS, he quickly hung up. What an idiot.
