I've been getting calls from these guys for about a year now, and each time I speak to someone they hang up on me as soon as I tell them to take me off of their list. I even had a guy make racial slurs towards me. Why can't the phone company do anything about this. For a while they were calling me at least 4 times a day. I am also on a "do not call" list, why aren't these people being held accountable for breaking the law?
I just went to the do not call registry and had no problem registering a complaint at 7:45 EST. Make sure you put your phone number in the box labeled "the number the telelmarketer called"
You're number is the one that needs to be in the registry. You need to put in your number where it asks What phone number did the telemarketer call? You enter the phone that the telemarketer called from on the second page of the report after you click continue.
I got a call from this number but no message. When I called back from a public phone, I got a recording that said "we're sorry, but the number that you have dialed is not in service". I am on the do not call list. I'm reporting them to donotcall.gov.
This is the third time this caller (239-263-5860) has interrupted a long-distance call when I was on the phone. Says something about "Do you know your warranty is about to expire?" I don't have a warranty that's about to expire. Nice try. I may use my coach's whistle on 'em next time. Or maybe an air horn. I've heard that's useful.
