It's probably a caller id faker app. It's most likely somebody you know. My friend uses this when she feels like a being a little pain in the butt. This exact number is what pops up when she does it too.
I received 6 phone calls this morning claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House, John Tucker, 239-491-4157. He said I had won $2 million and a new car. He also said he needed $399 to verify I was who I am. I did not give him any money. I reported it to the Ohio State Attorney General's Office for them to follow up.
I attempted to call their number from a Google Voice number and a recording said I was calling a Magic Jack number.
Within the hour the phone rang again, same number, the man's voice was different and he claimed to be from the US Treasury Department.
I contacted the Publisher's Clearing House and the US Treasury Dept.
This appears to be a faked number, easy enough to do with today's technology. In my case they were trying to scam me oon money posing as an individual who spoke bad English trying to get me to wire them money.
I sent the fake mails onto PayPal's fraud e-mail
