Called me 4 times so far today. It's a vehicle warranty SCAM! The only way to figure out who/where they are is to go along with their "sales pitch." Keep asking questions until they give enough info about who they work for. Ask them to mail you the info, or make a fake email and have them send you something to the fake email address. Ask for a call back number, or ask where to mail a payment.
NOTE: NEVER EVER GIVE SCAMMERS REAL INFORMATION. IF THEY ASK FOR A BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER, OR OTHER INFORMATION, MAKE IT UP!
NOTE: I have the available time as I am disabled, and often have nothing better to do but to harass these scammers the same way we all are harassed by them. Sometimes it takes 10-15 calls to actually track them. Take notes each time, remember what FAKE numbers you give them, and give the same FAKE numbers each time. Write down the number they called from, their name... Ask them who the actual company is that they are calling on behalf of, and even if they give a real company name, they probably aren't authorized to make the calls.
I once tracked scamming creeps to the Bahamas, The Philippines, and yes, even right here in the US of A.
GOOD LUCK! and, ALWAYS REPORT SCAMS TO LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES! YOU ARE NOT BOTHERING THEM. THE POLICE USE YOUR INFO TO HELP STOP THESE CREEPS, AND SO THEY SHOULD, YOUR TAXES PAY THEIR SALARY. BUT THE POLICE/LAW ENFORCEMENT CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT OUR HELP.
