The games telemarketers continue to play, spoofing numbers to make it look like a local call. I have received calls from numbers in the 239 area code. Some show up as coming from Bokeelia, others from Sanibel Island. However, since I don't know anyone that would be calling me from those areas I simply let it go to voice mail - my answering machine is on 24/7. As expected, no voice message left. I NEVER answer my phone to numbers I do not recognize. If it's a legitimate call, "they" will leave a message. If it's a doctor, dermatologist, optometrist, dentist, etc. etc. their name will appear in the caller id. The ONLY way we, the people, are ever going to put this scum out of business is if we ALL stop answering our phone to unrecognized numbers.
