Called two days in a row at my work number. Caller ID states NPS. Second day I picked up and remained quiet. They said my name. From research, this is an auto warranty company.
Look at all the people who've complaints against this scumbag's number. The national Do Not Call list is a bust & even having an (800) # doesn't work 100%. ARGH! It's downright aggravating. I'd like to toss these crums into an alligator pit.
There was no one on the phone when I answered. I called back and the guy got very defensive. I asked for him to remove my number and he said they could call any time they wanted. I let him know I record all calls and will be turning it over to my lawyer and he hung up. They start with the premise that they are calling about a random vehicle, then ask what you are currently driving because the warranty is transferable to any vehicle in the household. I am sure I will be called again from a different number, because that is what they do. The national DNC list is a joke, just because you are on it, doesn't mean you will not be called.
Called back. Dude answered the phone as "National Protection Service." Very evasive after that, wanted personal information before he would answer questions.
