Unknown number to me.

SCAM ALERT!!! PLEASE READ!

There is a guy named Eric who is running a scam in the baltimore area on craigslist. He is posing as the agent of some Pamela Carpenter trying to rent out condos in Ocean City Maryland. He is a FRAUD! DO NOT RENT FROM HIM! He uses [email protected] as e-mail and phone 239-690-6579. He will ask you to wire money to him via western union or GE Money Bank. DO NOT WIRE MONEY TO ANYONE YOU DON'T PERSONALLY KNOW! Just found out he is running same scam in several cities, see list below

He seems to be the same guy who used to call himself James Butler who has already scammed one person. He copied an ocean city maryland vacation rental listing from homeaway.com and listed as his own on Craigslist Baltimore area. He was posing as an agent for a Becky Shaeib located at
790 Lakeshore Dr Stillwater, OK 74075. He used the e-mail [email protected]. He is a scammer! Do NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM HIM.

"Eric" is now running a scam on Craigslist for renting a condo in Key West. I just googled his phone number because I have had scammers respond to my postings on Craigslist, so I am always leery when something seems too good to be true (or the response does not sound like an normal American way of speaking). Here is his response to my inquiry:

Thank you for your patronage.Yes the rental property is available for your dates .The  property has parking ,it has hot tube ,heated pool ,full kitchen utensils ,linens plus extra sleeping sofa. The property is located at 807 Truman avenue, Key West .Within walking distance to the restaurants,bars and all that there is to be enjoyed.The cost for 4/Nights is  $800 at the rate of $200/Night  (Tax Included) plus SECURITY FEE = $300 fully refundable upon satisfactory inspection at check-out. Attached are some pictures.

OMG.  I just got a same reply from "James".  I googled his phone number as I saw an warning on Craiglist about the scam!!!
