Someone name Grace called and told me that a I NEED to switch from BGE and she works with BGE. I said I have never received a call like this from BGE and the title of the name BGE did not show up. I told her to remove my number and Grace proceeded to call me an idiot.
June 9, 2017 - A woman named Angie with the Choice Energy Program with BG&E called from 240-815-9026, and wanted to renew me in the program. The call seemed odd, so I asked for her number. After saying her call center had no number, she gave me BG&E's general customer service number, 800-684-0123.
Received call from this number on June 14, 2017 at 12:55 pm. This is a SCAM/FRAUD that someone from a foreign country is claiming to be BG&E ELECTRIC TRYING TO SWITCH YOU WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION. THEY HAVE DID IT IN THE PAST TO MULTIPLR PEOPLE I KNOW. THE CALL LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE IN SOUTHERN MARYLAND, BUT THEY ARE OVERSEAS. THEY KERP YOU ON MUTE UNTIL YOU SAY HELLO LOUD TO MAKE SURE THEY KNOW IT IS A GOOD NUMBER. THEN YOU WILL GET MULTIPLE SCAM/FRAUD CALLS.
