How's it goin' SK?
I'm not real sure what to think of this fraud. On the one hand I suspect he's an illiterate domestic. On the other, I'm thinking he's a foreign scammer. The quality of the domestic denizens in the fraud shops has been steadily declining since things have started to tighten up on them. We've been seeing a lot of barely functional illiterates manning the phones in places like Atlanta & Buffalo. It's getting so it's hard to tell the difference between a mumbling maggot in Mumbai & a babbling twit from Buffalo.
I'm leaning toward the thought that this idiot is probably crouching in Ahmedabad. The Indian scammers have been trying to sharpen up. Lord knows they've been at it long enough! As is to be expected though, the Indians are coming in a "day late & a Dollar (Rupee) short." The gig is up & they're concentrating on the "IRS" & "Microsoft" games. I dearly love the Indians, but their frauds just aren't very bright. They need direction, training & supervision. They aren't getting it anymore. They're using the "mass attack" methods. Some are fairly good though. This scammer may be one of them trying to stick to one of the old reliable routines. If so, he failed. There's also the possibility that this one may be Pakistani. We both know that's doubtful. The Pakistani frauds are.....well, we don't even need to expound on that.
I guess what should concern us is the possibility that this one is domestic. That he's barely literate was obvious. There has been a surge in Hispanic fraud activity. The Mexicans have been active in the bogus "kidnapping" routines a lot lately. The "Islanders"  have been at the "scam tables" for a while now. Central America has pretty much buried their abilities to find targets. I'm having an "inkling" that this weasel may have been a first generation Hispanic/American. Not very well educated. Particularly due to the use of a TX area code.
My suspicions are pointless though. We're probably just dealing with a drop-out in Baytown. It hardly matters. He's done. For now. He'll be back though. We'll be waiting.
Party on SK!  And of course.....
Live Well,
Gunnar

Hi Gunnar -

Another possibility:  An intelligence-challenged, wannabe troll, playing with their smart phone while standing in line at the unemployment center.

Note the posts did not attempt to further explain or describe the advantages of using the scam phone number or loan service ... just typed very short, weasel-worded attacks against the posters who tried to explain current law and safety.  Obvious that that typing process and word selection was at the extreme limit of their capability.

It is truly unfortunate that some folks (such as the scammer/troll) can only get their jollies by attempting to argue with folks who are more capable than they.  They are probably incapable of realizing when they have lost the argument.  It may be even more unfortunate that there are lurkers out there who might actually believe the scammer/troll's statements if regular posters were not here to post facts.

Evenin' Slim,
I had just finished a post to SK when I noticed that this little scammer was back. I had expressed my indecision as to whether this parasite was foreign or domestic. The Jury's in. This fraudster's definitely domestic. He could be a Troll, but I'm thinking he's a "Mommies basement" or "Kitchen table" bogus debt collector. Damn, he's a really dumb one too!
He had such high hopes for his new "career"!  Oh well, it's back to the day-labor office for him tomorrow. He should look at the bright side though. The Indian frauds only make about $5 US per day. This little imbecile can look forward to at least 5X that. He'll be "sittin' in high cotton", as he weed-whacks a real persons yard.
Have a good night Slim!
Live Well,
Gunnar

You know, life would be a lot nicer to you if you could go back to school, learn how to read - and understand - what's written, and also how to write a complete sentence in English that actually makes sense.  Oh well.  Too bad, so sad - for you.

Threatening to "serve papers" is flagrantly illegal (a violation of the FDCPA); so is calling back when the employer has instructed them not to. This is a pretty good indicator that you're dealing with a scammer.
