I live in Madison, WI. The call was from Texas.
The scammer's name is "Cindy" very aggressive, of course they tried to scared you. Wants to speak with my Lawyer, like I have one with me at all times. If I can't pay my bills then that means I can't afford a lawyer.
It's a scam!
I have them trying to collect money from my father n law. the same lady called me Cindy hollow 281-310-5497 and also got this number from who they transferred me too wsap 713-231-047. and spoke with Cindy's supervisor Charles Cane. and once I told them I was getting a lawyer involved they said they couldn't give me paperwork cuz it had left their office. And then they hung up on me.

You hit the magic words - "I have a lawyer" and caught them in a lie - the paperwork is gone. There was no paperwork in the first place!
BTW Refusing to give you information is a violation of the FDCPA.
