You know you can sue these guys, right? Everest has been a big offender and the penalties for telemarketers who don’t follow the rules can be pretty serious. The parent company is Internet Advertising Group..
also Webnet Holdings
They develop numerous schemes to collect your info and telemarket unsuspecting,
potential college students... by misrepresentation, click thru and sweepstake and banner
advertising. Once they obtain your info such as a phone number it seems they have
no wherewithal to remove your name from their database, and probably continue to receive
revenue based on a per marketed lead.....I would expect them to sell your leads to other
company's after they have totally wore them out.
Why.......... just because there are no rules to say they can't.
And your info is worth money!

This company has called me six times since 11/04/13. I called to tell them to stop, and they claimed I must have called them. When I told them I had never heard of them, they said "thank you" and quickly hung up. I am signed up with the Do Not Call registry and rarely give out my cell number, so I don't know how they even got my number.
