just called twice in a row did not leave message.....don't know this number

Phone rang only twice, then they hung up. No idea who they are.
I see a lot of these "Nobody There" or "Hung up after a few rings" messages on here. Maybe this is some kind of new scam to test the line and see if people actually answer?
