Some guy calling my job asking a million questions. I transferred him to public relations and he calls back and says "somehow we got disconnected unless you hung up on me!" Says he wants to send a letter to upper management and expects me to give out all this info. i.e. names and titles. I gave him just the address and then he asks for the name of the president. When I told him I was not at liberty to divuldge that info.(this is the standard procedure where I work... not going to lose my job for this guy), he says "That's not a smart thing to answer, this is a publicly traded company it should be public information." I then transferred him back to public relations. He claims he went on our website and didn't find any contact information which I am able to find very quickly. If your trying to phish or solicit, you better be aquainted with simple research techniques, I'm not going to do your work for you! I have other IMPORTANT calls to answer and can't stay on the phone all day giving people names and titles.
