Got a similar postcard and letter from FIDELITY REFUND RECOVERY SOLUTIONS with the same song and dance about being owed several thousands. Phone number also matches the one from other people's comments. Interestingly enough, got a post card from Texas Recovery Bureau regarding the exact same amount and giving the same exact reference number but a different address and phone #. Found a site on the internet that had a comment from someone who actually called the number and found it was a property tax overpayment that would be automatically refunded by the mortgage company. These people troll the public records and look for overpayments that they can "assist" with and skim their fee.
Got a notice in the mail about a refund owed to me, but no details given. Then I get a call today from "Fidelity Refund Recovery" following up. It came from this # 281-860-2649.
I haven't called it back and kind find anything online about this company.
I received a call from Fidelity Recovery saying that I have been overpaying an agency, and that to get additional information, I would need to come in or someone would need to come to my home.. Sounds like a SCAM to me.. I'm going to notify the BBB

I received a call from Fidelity Refund Recovery (Rosa) saying that I over paid by $1,031. The phone number is 281-860-2649. She said I was sent a letter but if it looks like junk mail I throw it out. I don't have the kind of money where I would overpay anyone by that much. Probably a scam or bill collector trying to trick me. She didn't ask for me specifically so I'm sure it has to be a scam.
