Call came in on our landline at 2:46 P CDT, Caller ID showed "Unknown Name" and they left no voicemail. This call is at least the fourth suspicious call from the 281-954 NPA-NXX. Sometimes they leave the "Vacation Package/ Cruise....." voicemail, but other times their robo dialer system drops the call as soon as it gets the voicemail beep tone. Since all these calls are suspicious, they have all been added to our Call Blocker unit, so the phone never rings the next time a call comes in from the blocked numbers. Our Call Blocker unit can hold up to 1500 numbers and since we have had it in service for over two years, the number of BOGUS/SCAM/ANNOYING calls has dropped from 10-12 per day to maybe 2 every 3 days. Since we have Caller ID, we NEVER answer calls from numbers we don't recognize, and after a little research at sites like 800Notes we add any suspect numbers to our Call Blocker unit list. Caller ID and a Call Blocker unit have been worth the few dollars for the peace we get. I have a Windows 10 Smartphone which comes with a free "Block Number" feature which I have used for almost a year and the number of bogus calls have dropped to one or two per week.
Had this recording call me twice of a woman who says "hello?...*long pause* oh I'm sorry I had a problem with my voice... anyway, you stayed at one of our resorts in the past, and you qualify for...", which is when I hung up
this recording calls me often, on multiple lines. Emily the robo b*%&# responds after a second "hello?...*long pause* oh I'm sorry I had a problem with my headset. Trying to get you to respond to an unwanted vacation package. An alternate number for this annoying "B" is 281-954-9916
