Received a call and message was left advised I will be arrested within the next 30 to 45 minutes if I do not call back, I did return the call and spoke with an attorney by the name of Andrew Thompson and he was very rude. He indicated I owe on a Pay Day Loan from a company that I have not heard of and I owe approxiately 1256.00 out of court and if I go to court, I will owe approximately 22,000.00. I told him I had an attorney and he said why are you wasting my time and abruptly disconnected the call. I also received a call on 07/15/15 from the same person and left a telephone number of: 850-702-2509. I called that number back and there was no answer sounding like a cellular phone and was unable to leave a message.
Total scam. Never return the calls. Block them. You cannot be arrested for ordinary civil debt. Being in debt is not a crime. This is an extortion attempt.
Second time they have called me saying i was going to be arrested. Clearly bogus. Didn't get arrested yesterday and have not been today either. Some stupid payday loan scam when you try to call them back.
I got the same phone call today that they were calling from the Attorney General Office and they were going to arrest me in 30 minutes if I didn't settle the claim for $350 right away. When I told them I had an attorney as well and continuously stated no money was ever borrowed, the man with an Indian accent hung up on me. I attempted to call the number back right away but the line was cut off.
