FDCPA gives the right to call family if you can not be reached. It is legal to call you if you owe a debt and have refused to address the issue. At some point you can be sued....it would be in your best interest to pay your debt and work with debt collectors. Yes calling neighbors and family is very legal.

302 223 5178 called and I pretended I was a machine. She said, "This is about your mother, apparently you don't care." I repeated the machine request. She said she'd go through the county my mom lives in. Odd.... Glad I didn't cave.
I got a call from this number with a rude women on the other end by the name of Megan Goldstein and when I asked for there mailing address she told me No and then hung up on me. When I called back she told me she did not have anything else and hung up again. I have never received anything in the mail and she wanted me to pay over the phone. Is this legal?
