This number called our rarely-given house phone today. A lady with a heavy Indian accent told me I had "many viruses and problems" with my computer and "unauthorized downloads coming in" (???) asked me to TURN ON the machine so she could help me fix it. Um, what now? I of course refused, saying I had my own way of getting rid of viruses from my computer, and asked that she remove me from their call list. She said OK and the call was over. In retrospect, she might have been reading from a script.
I searched this number online and it registers to a cell phone in McAllen, Texas. I doubt it's actually someone from that area, so clearly this line is probably hijacked by these pesky telemarketers.
