Just got a call from a person of the exact same description. When I asked for an address and phone number of his business all he would say is 3... 0... Then he hung up. I called the number back and it was a ladies answering machine saying that someone was using her phone number. .... BEWARE. I called my states attorney general and my county district attorney for consumer fraud.
I got the same call. Saying I have problems with my computer. She claims she was a he name Ron Smith with Microsoft Windows Support Systems. It is a scam to rip you off! Tell them you had them traced and you are in touch with FBI!
Got the same call. Said company was called instant virtual. Based in d.c. said his name was nick williams. Somehow i doubt that. Nothing pops on search engine for this company.
I received a phonecall from this number, that came up "private," saying that my computer was going to crash. He wanted to walk me through steps to make sure it doesn't crash. He said he was from Instant Virtual Support. I could not find any information on this "company." He was trying to get access to my computer. I told him that I preferred to use my own technical support person and he told me that my computer was going to blow up, and then hung up on me.
Weird. Watch out for a man calling by the name of David Wilson with an Indian accent.
