Unwanted call from 1-302-261-5402, 10:15 am, Nov 26, 2013, woman's voice, said her name was Sunny, calling from E Support Life, told me my computer was running too slow and would crash soon, she wanted to tell me about a programme that would stop the damage. I told her to send me the information in the regular mail service so I could ask my technician about this, and then I'd get back to her. I also said it sounded like a scam to me and she said No, it was a reputable company.
Answered call on 3rd ring, said "Hello" 4 times, finally after 5 second pause woman with very thick far East accent asked for me by my surname (?). Told her she had the right person, I didn't get her name but she was calling from "In Support Life" ? and was calling to warn me that I would be receiving a pop-up message on my computer advising that a company would try to download an update to one of my programs, I should not accept the download as it will infect my computer with a virus. I stopped her in mid-sentence and asked the name of her company again, she repeated "garbled Support Life" My first reaction was to tell her to fornicate with a wire brush but thought better of it just in case she was with a legitimate company. I asked her if she was associated with Norton or McAfee, she quickly replied "No!" and explained they were calling all computer owners worldwide who used Microsoft Windows OS. She then got quite rude and bossy and demanded that I switch on my computer and she would give me instructions to safeguard my computer, realizing the folly of the situation I simply told her "this call is over" and hung up. Looking back what I should have said was "I don't own a computer you dishonest unscrupulous cow!" and then hung up.
