Three years ago, I was wheelchair-bound and recovering from a serious accident when our dog began barking at the front window. A car had pulled into our driveway and a nicely dressed couple got out. I immediately wheeled myself to the front door, opened it, went outside to the front porch and closed it behind me (the dog was going crazy by now, barking with every breath). As the couple prepared to walk up onto the porch, I asked them what they wanted. They were selling final burial plans. I politely told them I had no need for one and asked them where they got my information from. They didn't answer, but asked if they could come inside. I told them "No, and I don't think our dog wants you to, either" (he was hysterical). They were then asked to leave.
Got the call. Didn't answer. It's unbelievable how many calls I'm getting from all sorts of telemarketers, scammers, and charities. I've got a call blocker with 57 area codes blocked plus a panasonic phone that blocks 250 numbers. If I blocked every nuisance call, both would soon be filled to capacity. This all started 7 years ago when we got this number and is getting worse. Yes, I'm on the DNC list.
