I live in the Chicago suburbs, and I received a call from this scammer this afternoon (February 27, 2017). The scammer claims to be a merchant for Visa credit card services, and that they have an offer for you to generate additional income with your Visa credit card. You just have to answer their simple questions. I would guess that these "simple questions" are a variant of the "Yes" scam, where the scammer records you saying "Yes"...and then can charge for you, draft from your bank account, etc. without your knowledge.
I answered (as I'm waiting for an important phone call, which I normally wldnt answer) they said "hi! Tiffany?" i said "yes?" and they hung up.. I'm pretty freaked out (totally forgot about the 'yes' scam) What do I do Now?! No answer when I called back
Didn't pick up, and hey didn't leave a message. All these recent calls makes it show the scam is rampant right now. So glad that I didn't answer and I now know of the "yes" scam.
