I too receive calls from this man. He is from SLM financial, he states. I have always paid my car payment directly to SLM on a 1-866 number and they are located in New Jersey. When I made my payment today I asked what the problem was and why was he calling and they,customer service, couldn't provide an answer. I am very leary of calling him back, because why wouldn't he be in the Jersey office with the payment dept? He is very rude,threatening and beligerent on his messages. I have all my cancelled checks and always speak with the same woman.
