I hung up from another call to answer call from this number. My caller ID said Newark, DE. I live in Delaware so I answered. It turned out to be a recorded male voice also reminding us to BuckleUpForSafety then asking for donations for family bereavement programs for members of Fraternal Order of Police lodge. I said that we do not give credit cards over the phone and the computer seemed to partially register my response. Voice asked if they could send me a packet in mail. I said yes and then it transferred me to a live person in a call center. He immediately asked which credit card I wanted to use. I said I wouldn't but they can send us a packet. He then asked for the spelling of name/ address and asked that a check be mailed within 5 days of receipt. If this is a legitimate solicitation for FOP programs, they may want to rethink spending money on a computer generated/ recorded voice. Use the cash to do mailings...with all the fraud perpetrated over the phone these days...no one in their right mind would give banking info to a stranger on the phone! I will be checking to see if this is a FOP solicitation.
Call back gets, "Hello, we're sorry we cannot answer your call....with other patrons...etc." Then goes on to give office hours. NOTE: NEVER IDENTIFIES THE COMPANY. To me, that spells SCAM. Good number to block.
