Here's a piece of advice off a website about craigslist scamming.
5 - The oldest scam in the book is where the scammer sends you MORE money than you asked for. They will then apologize and say that they made a mistake but if you could please just wire the balance to their “shipping agent” through Western Union they will arrange a pickup. You do this, then the scammer files a charge-back with Pay Pal saying their account has been hacked, and that they never intended to send you any money. Pay Pal then turns around and debits the money from your account. This one really puts the SUCKER stamp one your forehead because now what happened is that you just sent the merchandise PLUS your own money to the scammer using another fake name through Western Union. How will you EVER live that down? Oh, wait…fortunately you read this article and you wont get stung! You are now SMART instead of STUNG!

Another attempt by [email protected].  Tried to buy a ring off CL, texted me from 330-366-2052, being very vague and dodging questions.  Same things as the comments above, said he'd pay the $70 shipping for a gift for his brother in Africa.  Also got the fake PayPal emails talking about FBI investigations if I don't ship immediately.  DON'T DO IT PEOPLE!

I got scammed from this guy. Name is James Connor. His email is [email protected].
He contacted me thru paypal to buy my PS3 and I fell for it!  He sent me emails from a fake paypal website and like a doofus I sent him my ps3 and even paid $196.35 to ship it out of my own money. Now he's saying he sent to much and I need to send him an additional $353 since he over paid me $1100. Now I'm out of my playstation and $196.35. Totaling $647.  Not sure what I can do. I contacted the post office and they didn't do anything. Any suggestions?

Dude, I'm talking to him right now, he's trying to get me to send 10 iPads to his brother in Africa. I'm playing along with him.
