Called multiple times. Will not leave message. When I did answer...male voice with heavy middle eastern accent just simply repeated my questions and ended each one in 'hello'. I just hung up. Just to note...for two days prior to this call I had received other similar calls from 314 area code numbers. This seems to be a new scam...not sure if it is intended to use up owner's minutes, gain personal information, or see if the phone number called is actively engaged in an account so the unknown scam caller can utilize the number through 'magic jack' for differing charges. Not sure.
I have been receiving phone calls off and on for nearly a year now from unknown numbers and unknown callers. All they do is hang up without leaving a message, come at me in a way that is MORE THAN OBVIOUSLY a scam, repeat the same statement over and over again to be purposefully annoying, or solicit some type of sexual advance. In all every number when called back is "not a working number" making it hard to get an exact trace...most likely a 'magic jack' number. So, I began thinking who would stand to profit from calls like this that do not extract any good information. The only answer I came up with was this web site and others like it!!! I mean, come on, look up in the corner of your screen...there is most likely advertising right now. It makes perfect sense to me. 'Who calls me' was started and copyrighted a year ago...the same time most of these bulls*%t calls started. Think about it. It is the best scam of all. This web site makes us all feel comforted knowing that there are others out there just like us getting harrassing calls. Someone should take the time to investigate these websites and those that run them...I'll bet you that they are the same ones making the damn calls from the 'unknown' numbers. Just a thought.
Terry the same exact thing is happening to me. I get nonstop calls from te 302 number and the 314 and they will not leave a message. I'm getting so sick of them calling
The same is happening to my friend. It is a male voice with a accent. He called telling my friend that she won a gift card and then he went on to ask persnol information then he started asking if she would be his friends then asked if she had a boyfriend then we hung up on him and now he wont stop calling
