Someone from this number has called my number several times today. No message is left. Caller ID says Navient, but on Navient website the 302-525-0001 number is not listed. Seems like a scam.
Recvd a call & message today from this number, identify themselves as student assistance corporation regarding a school loan and wanting to go over options. I have never had a school loan, i will be requesting my credit records to be sure someone has not stolen my identity and have also reported these calls to my id theft company. Beware...Believe they use skip tracing and if you have a common name and they find a number for you...This is their mode of operation...They are most likely using phising tactics as well. Per all i've read on this company it's not good. They also call from several numbers in different states and even block their numbers to reflect as unknown or private. Very annoying!
Student Assistance Corporation is actually a legitimate company, I've dealt with them for years regarding my loans. THEY do not collect money themselves, they act as a go-between between the lender and borrower. They are good at what they do, because on several occasions they have gone to bat FOR ME with my lender to get things working for everyone.
However, this number isn't one of theirs either. Other than their 800 number, the only number they list is for people calling from overseas, and THAT number rings into Indianapolis IN.
