This lady was VERY rude and if she is legit...I can not see how she actually makes a living, I would think you would get more with being nice....oh and yea..btw: I used to work in collections.
a women by the name of Nancy left me a message saying she wants to speak with my son, she has an important matter. My son is 32 and on his own for a long time, this call should not be coming to me. Not legal in Massachusetts.
Nancy Clark, remember that name, this is the [***] that called me and tried to extort money from me today.
She called me, this was their scam company's second harassment attempt on me. I happily called her back though, since she said it was important, and I recognized the fake debt collections agency Smith and Cohen. I told her "funny thing is, since I spoke to you all last I never received that letter you sent!" and so I confirmed my address, had no problem doing so. She then proceeded to try and call me stupid for not doing anything over the phone, not even confirming that I may owe such a debt. I told her I would not without paperwork, and she eventually hung up on me.
I wasn't done with Nancy yet though, I called her back and said "I believe you hung up on me" and before I could even say anything reasonable she said "stop calling, get a life".
Yeah, Smith and Cohen is a joke, feel free to ignore and block their numbers, and sue the hell out of them if you can :) And if you get the chance, and have the time, call them just to screw with them. I did call one final time, it was silent, I said in a happy tone "it's not very nice to get unsolicited calls is it?" then in a more serious tone "DON'T CALL ME AGAIN".
And that's my funny story of the day with them.
Again, they are a joke, real debt collectors acknowledge at the beginning of a call the paragraph o' info telling you they are what they are, and they also send *gasp* actual letters out!
calling here every 20 minutes all day long and hanging up-------somehow they got our daughters phone number and are now calling her................................
